Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. They can remember your preferences or, in the case of advertising, help show and measure ads.

Cookies and storage we use ourselves

VideosCompressor itself sets no cookies.

This preference stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Advertising cookies (third parties)

To keep the compressors free, some pages, such as the compressors themselves, the presets and the FAQ, show ads from Google AdSense. On those pages, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers to:

  • show ads, and limit how often you see the same ad;
  • measure how ads perform and prevent fraud;
  • show personalised ads based on your interests, only with your consent where the law requires it.

Examples include Google's __gads and __gpi cookies. Google's consent tool also stores your consent choices, for example in cookies named FCCDCF and FCNEC. The exact cookies depend on your region, your choices and Google's systems. Learn more in Google's advertising technologies policy.

Pages without ads, including the guides, the contact page and our legal pages, don't load advertising code and set no advertising cookies.

Analytics

We currently use no analytics cookies.

Your choices

  • Change your consent: use the Privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Where Google's consent message is available, it reopens so you can change your choices.
  • Personalised ads: you can turn off ad personalisation in Google's Ads Settings.
  • Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies doesn't affect the compressors.

For more about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
