1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of www.videoscompressor.net and its tools (the "Service"), operated by GAVA COMPRESSOR, an individual based in Morocco ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. The Service

VideosCompressor provides free tools to compress videos, images and PDF files. The tools run inside your web browser: your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. We also publish guides and information about file compression.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, for example to improve it or for technical or legal reasons.

3. Your files and your rights

  • You keep all rights to the files you compress. We don't receive your files and claim no rights over them.
  • You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use and modify the files you process, and for how you use the results.
  • Compression changes files. Always keep your originals until you've checked the compressed versions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service:

  • to process content that is illegal, or that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of others;
  • in a way that could damage, overload or impair the website, such as automated mass requests or attempts to break its security;
  • to copy and republish the website's texts, guides or design as your own, beyond what the law allows.

5. Open-source software

The compressors include open-source software distributed under its own licenses, which are listed on our Licenses page. For those components, their licenses apply, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under them.

6. Our content

The texts, guides, logo, illustrations and design of the website are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to us, except for open-source components and third-party trademarks, which belong to their owners. You may link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that compressed files will meet your requirements. Results depend on your files, device and browser.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. In any case, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the Service, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.

Some pages show ads from third parties, and pages may link to other websites. We're not responsible for the content, products or practices of third parties. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising works.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you continue to use the Service after an update, the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Morocco, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
